Spa is very nice
The bed was very small, as it, not very long and very narrow. We had a kid bed in the room, though we do not have kids, so would have much rather had a bigger bed to use the space. There was a big party in the hotel, and the people were very lound, coming back drunk and partying in their room, we had to call reception at 3am to tell them to come and shut them up
General ambiance and the facilities offered (spa, swimming pool, outside area) are great.
May be the restaurant and bar working hours could be a bit longer.
Good architecture and sports facilities
You are charged to park outside
Staff were nice
Rooms did not worth the price
Nice flair, good pool, good for families. Admirable bar.
The restaurant personnel's understanding of English was quite poor, and the service mediocre, at best. Better go out for eating.
Peaceful beautiful location, fantastic views of mountains from rooftoop restaurant. Enjoyed the scenic minibus journey from Krakow. The breakfast/meals were some of the best experienced in Poland although soups too salty. Pool ideal for all ages. The bar onlooking the pool catered for all our needs. Helpful staff regarding booking transport although not enough days to benefit from tours. During heavy downpour of rain, so many activities to try indoors eg. squash, bowling, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, chess, computor room,. All adults enjoyed their massage at spa. There was even some local artwork on sale in one of the public rooms. Organised early morning packed breakfasts for our journey to airport although misunderstanding about collection and no spoons available?
Long walks to our rooms. Porter took luggage to our rooms but offer to transport back would have been very helpful as we were travelling with three elderly, one with arm in sling! Lack of introductory tour of hotel but lots of interesting nooks to explore. Would have eaten there every night if we had known how good the food was! Staff lacked good English and so things could take some time. Polish phrase books in rooms might be a good addition. Need better quality tea.
The best thing about the hotel is the large swimming pool. It has aquaria at one end and a slide into a smaller pool for the kids. The staff was helpful and cheerfully changed our dreary room for a sunny one. The rooms are by no means luxurious, and could use updating and freshening, but are large and ok.
Warning: Zakapone has degenerated into a middle to lower middle class tourist trap filled with junky souvenir stands and shops, devoid of charm. The surrounding mountains are pretty for hiking, but not worth a special trip.
Second stay at the Belvedere, this time in summer rather than during the winter snows. The fairytale nature of the hotel comes over best in winter. Good tea room with charming staff.
Rooms looking a little tired. Some staff members (breakfast room/bar) rather indifferent to their jobs. Billing system illegal, since hotel insists on billing in euros despite all prices being listed in zloty. It took 45 minutes to overcome this practice at check-out. Management could not be bothered to intervene!
The breakfast buffet was amazing!
Hot tub was not working. Neither was the water slide or one of the waterfalls.
The hotel is in a nice quiet location with lots to do and great sports facilities.
The rooms are ok, although not luxurious and rather like what you would find in a normal chain hotel such as premier inn rather than a luxury hotel. Watch out for the parking charge ! at 30pln per day its a bit heavy when you consider how much you are paying for the hotel . There are no parking restrictions on the road around the hotel so park there!
Very nice comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, great pool and sports facilities.Nice quiet location.Fabulous spa.
The breakfast was great, the room very clean and so confortable, you have so many things to do there... it's just amazing!!!
The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The room was large and the bed was comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was good. In all, a positive stay!
The room doors could be tighter to exclude noise from the corridor.
In fact we loved the town not the hotel which was supposed to be much better.
Too expensive for the announced standard. Too much bureaucracy for check-in and check-out. During our stay the hotel was fullybooked and we had the feeling that the premises are too small for so much people. Long waiting for a table for breakfast, leak of towels for spa, 10 minutes waiting for lift etc ....
